CMS released a fact sheet on November 28, 2025, notifying suppliers that CMS is phasing in (i.e., implementing) a Nationwide RID CBP for all product categories as part of the next round of the DMEPOS CBP, Round 2028. DMEPOS CBP product categories to be included in Round 2028 include: class II continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps, urological supplies, ostomy supplies, hydrophilic urinary catheters, off-the-shelf (OTS) back braces, OTS knee braces, and OTS upper extremity braces. CMS anticipates that the next round of contracts will start no later than January 1, 2028.
